Terms of Service
Effective Date: 01/01/2025
Welcome to Salty Social Maine. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and engagement with any services offered. By accessing this website or entering into a client agreement with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.
1. Services
Salty Social Maine provides social media management, content creation, consulting, and digital marketing services to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations.
Services are tailored to client needs and outlined in individual proposals or contracts. Scope of work, pricing, and timelines are specified in those agreements and must be signed prior to the start of work.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide timely access to necessary materials and brand assets
Communicate clearly and respond promptly to requests or feedback
Review and approve deliverables in a timely manner
Make payments as agreed upon in the service contract
Delays in communication, content approval, or asset delivery may affect project timelines and are not the responsibility of Salty Social Maine.
3. Payment Terms
Invoices are issued based on the agreed scope of work (e.g., monthly, milestone-based, or one-time projects). Payments are due within the time frame specified on the invoice (typically on due date or Net 7, unless otherwise noted).
Timely payment ensures continued service. If payment is not received by the due date, services may be paused until the balance is resolved.
No refunds will be issued for work already completed or partially completed.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Clients retain ownership of their original brand assets.
Salty Social Maine retains ownership of proprietary systems, templates, and internal processes used to deliver services.
Content created specifically for your brand (e.g., social media posts, strategy docs) becomes yours upon full payment.
Custom materials are for the client’s use only and may not be resold or repurposed without permission.
5. Cancellation & Termination
You may cancel services at any time with written notice, usually with a 30-day lead time unless otherwise specified in your agreement.
Salty Social Maine reserves the right to terminate a project or working relationship if:
Terms of the agreement are violated
Payments are repeatedly delayed
The collaboration becomes misaligned or unproductive
Any completed work will be invoiced accordingly.
6. Performance Disclaimer
Marketing and social media results depend on a variety of factors, including platform algorithms, audience behavior, and industry trends. While Salty Social Maine uses current best practices and experience-driven strategy, no specific results (e.g., follower growth, engagement metrics, or revenue) are guaranteed.
7. Confidentiality
All sensitive information exchanged during the course of the project — including business plans, passwords, and proprietary materials — will be kept confidential by both parties unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Salty Social Maine shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages that may result from the use of our services or website.
9. Website Use
